- 100% biodegradable and home compostable parcel packaging (coming soon) and product packaging wherever it is possible.

2/ For our Stylish Hounds Stylish Hounds is about bringing humans and hounds closer together, we’re all about bright smiles and wagging tails. We are always welcome to hear feedback in order to make our products as usable, inclusive and successful as they possibly can be. What we’ve done so far:
• We’ve improved our size range from 3 to 5 sizes.
• We’re always improving on our products based on your feedback (ps. please be kind when giving feedback, it is a real person on the other end!).
• Stylish is continuously improving all packing, using as much recycled paper packaging as possible.
• All materials used can be recycled or upcycled where possible.
• We’ve introduced 100% biodegradable materials to improve our walk range, poop bags and enrichment toys.
3/ For our Wider Dog Community We want all hounds and humans to find one another, that’s why Stylish Hound works for and supports dog rescue groups. What we’ve done so far:
• We donate products and funds towards dog rescue organisations and groups.
• We continue to support organisations that are fighting against animal testing through donations, educating our team and providing resources for our wider community.
• Planning and releasing fundraising collections for dog rescue groups and causes.

No-Pull Harness: Why the No-Pull way? How does your No-Pull Harness work?
It is an important skill to be able to lead your dog well. The No-Pull way encourages your dog to follow your lead in a situation instead of getting distracted by their environment.
Our No-Pull Harness is designed with a front clip attachment positioned at your dog’s chest. The front clip attachment discourages dogs from pulling on the leash during walks. When your dog pulls, the harness directs them to turn towards you. Over time, they learn that pulling on the leash does not help them to move forward. Whereas a traditional harness with back position clips teaches dogs to pull harder, because they learn that it works, they are able to move you and go where they want.

No-Pull Harness: Is leash pulling harmful to my dog?
Ordinary collars can put a lot of tension on a dog’s throat. Straining, pulling and yanking can potentially cause a lot of pressure and pain of your pup, especially if they’re a smaller breed.
Excessive pulling can also lead to unwanted behaviours. If your dog is eager to make a few new fluffy friends, but you yank them back when they go to say hello, they might associate it with an unpleasant or stressful experience, making them less social.
A harness made specifically to discourage pulling can help you gain more control on your walk and improve your pup’s leash skills.
No-Pull Harness: Is No-Pull Harness safe to use for my dog?
Yes absolutely! Our No-Pull harnesses is comfortable for your dog. The strap is worn across the chest and around the body. The front attachment is proven and recommended by trainers and vets to discourage pulling in a safe manner.
No-Pull Harness: Do you have any No-Pull Harness training videos with a professional dog trainer?
Yes! Please see below link for our 3-part training series so you and your dog can get the most out of our No-Pull harness. Our training series with Kirsten from Pup2Dog training is designed to fit into your daily schedule. Each video is bite-size, allowing you and your dog to train at a good and steady pace.
No-Pull Harness: Is the No-Pull Harness suitable for all dogs?
If your dog tends to pull, a No-Pull Harness is a great solution. If you are unsure or concerned, please seek professional advice for individual assessment when introducing or training your dog using the harness for the first time. To ensure you get the most out of our No-Pull Harness, we have a short video series with an accredited professional dog trainer. We recommend some training for your dog to get used to the harness.
No-Pull Harness: Can my dog run in the No-Pull Harness?
Yes, but please be responsible. Our No-Pull Harness was created for making walks with your dog enjoyable and pull-free. We have tested the harness on various breeds/dog sizes whilst running to ensure our adjusters do not budge (for slipping) and the material is soft enough and chafe-free. Should you choose to run or jog with your dog, please be mindful of the possibility of chafing and discontinue use at the first sign of discomfort.
No-Pull Harness: Can I use a retractable leash with your No-Pull Harness?
We do NOT recommend using our No-Pull Harness with a retractable leash as we do not wish to encourage your dog to walk ahead with additional leash length. The additional and changing lengths do not provide your dog with consistency whilst training with our No-Pull Harness.

No-Pull Harness: What is the difference between the ORIGINAL and RUFF n’ TUFF No-Pull Harness?
There are 2 key differences to our ORIGINAL and RUFF n’ TUFF styles:
1/ Our Original Harness has a front leash attachment that is fix and not a martingale which makes this a gentle training tool for the No-Pull. There is also an additional padded handle for you when you need to quickly get a hold of your dog and an optional back clip attachment. This harness is suitable for dogs with sensitive trachea.
2/ The Ruff n’ Tuff Harness is designed with a martingale function at the front to give you extra control for dogs who require additional control. When your dog pulls, the martingale function tightens so the harness guides your dog back towards you. This harness does not have a handle. It also comes with an option back clip attachment and is designed to be clipped at the front, back or both.
If your dog is suitable for both harnesses, it is up to you which design suits you and your dog more. If you need help, contact us at hello@stylish-hound.com to discuss recommendations for your dog.
No-Pull Harness: How do I work out what size to purchase my dog / Do you have a size chart calculator?
Harness size is determined by girth. To figure out your dog’s girth, place a measuring tape around their body, slightly behind their front legs. Refer to the image below for help. Please note: All of our products have a sizing chart available under the sizing tab of the products page to assist in selecting the correct size for your dog. We have also provided some of our Stylish Hounds with their breed and size to assist.

No-Pull Harness: How do I fit the harness on my dog?
INSTRUCTIONS
Putting the harness on
- Introduce the harness to your dog. Pop it on the floor and let your dog have a sniff. SH Tip: Give your dog a treat/affection when they show interest in the harness!
- Unclip the harness.
- Place the SHOULDER STRAP (B) Over your dog’s head. With the CHEST STRAP (C) resting horizontally on your dog’s chest. SH Tip: Encourage your dog to put their head between B and C by offering up a treat!
Fit the Front Chest Strap (C)
- The Chest Strap (C) fits horizontally across the chest. SH Tip: The strap should not droop down or be too close to your dog’s neck!
- Adjust the CHEST STRAP (C) to fit your dog across the chest. SH Tip: ensure there is 1-2 finger space between the strap and your dog’s body.
- Ensure the TRIANGLE RING (D) sits above and behind your dog’s shoulder (refer to image).
Fit the Belly Strap (B)
- Adjust the length of the belly strap to fit your dog’s girth.
- Check the harness has a snug fit around the body and in front of the chest. SH Tip: A snug fit is important! The shoulder, chest and belly straps combine to keep the harness in place and from rotating around.
Going for a walk!
- Make sure your dog is comfortable in the harness first. SH Tip: Have your dog wear the harness around the house before tackling the great outdoors.
- Clip your leash to the CHEST STRAP (C) and take a stroll around your house. SH Tip: Make sure the CHEST STRAP (C) is positioned similar to the image.
- Allow your dog to walk slightly in front of you, when they do, stop and monitor their response. SH Tip: Repeat if necessary.
- Your dog will learn that when they pull, they do not move forward and therefore stop pulling.

Do you find your furry friend's harness isn't sitting quite right or are just not sure about correctly fitting your new harness? We have got you all sorted. Every dog has a different body type, so please spend some time adjusting the harness correctly before using it to avoid any discomfort and for the best results. The great news is you only need to adjust it once! Please follow these images for the best fitting results. Tips: If your harness is sitting too far forward as you can see in the examples; it's an easy 3 step process to have you all set and ready for your next training session or walk!
- Loosen the front chest strap adjusters
- Pull the whole harness back to the desired area as seen in the images.
- Re-adjust the girth/tummy adjuster
No-Pull Harness: How do I care for your harness, leash, collar, bowtie?
• Please do not machine wash your harness, leash, collar, bowtie.
• Use washing powder/liquid
• Gently cold hand wash
• Lay flat to dry in shade
No-Pull Harness: What if my dog is still pulling, where can I get some help with training my dog?
To help achieve great success with your new No pull Harness please check out our SH Resource Centre Online for some great training videos.
If you are not already doing this, give the below tips a try to help with the pulling.
- If your dog walks on your right side, hold the leash handle in your left hand, use the right hand to hold the leash just next to your right leg. So now your dog is as close to you as possible with minimal leash length
- When he pulls, you STOP. Whilst still gripping the leash (like above) in both of your hands. Do not give him extra leash length when he pulls.
- Repeat until he learns he will not be rewarded when he pulls ahead.
- If he starts to walk ahead of you slightly (but not pulling, though about to pull ahead of you), use your right hand to pull the leash behind you to let him know to keep in line with you. This prevents the issue early on. If your dog is already managing to pull with less intensity on our harness, some simple training tips is what he needs to get him one more step further.
No-Pull Harness: What does it mean when the harness puckers to the side
This occurs when your dog pulls and most likely does not associate the corrections given by the front attachment. e.g. if you are on his LHS, when your boy pulls, it'll pucker on the LHS whilst the harness is trying to let him know to not pull on the RHS (which is tight to redirect him). The harness may be redirecting but if he continues to pull ahead, he just hasn't made the connection to what the harness is trying to tell him therefore he will not respond. If that happens, that's OK, he just needs to be communicated to so he knows.
No-Pull Harness: Is the No-Pull Harness and our walking gear chewed-proof?
This harness is not chewed proof; none of our products are. If your pup gets too excited when they see our product, please contact our team to proceed for special consideration with our Chew Policy. There are a few common places on the harness that we see our dogs take a cheeky nibble on. It is usually on the centre front, though not limited to (refer to images in Q12). This means your dog does not understand why the harness is redirecting and/or what to do when the harness is giving them cues. All you need to do is take a step back and reintroduce the harness to your dog. Please refer to our resource centre for easy training exercises. Some dogs understand the cues from the front leading harness straight away, however some don't and that's OK. It just means you need to communicate with your dog, what to do when the harness is redirecting when your dog pulls and associate good walking skills with positivity (lots of yummy treats!). Once your dog understands what to do, they will be less likely to take a nibble on the harness out of confusion and frustration.
No-Pull Harness: What happens if my dog chews your products? What is your Chew Policy?
Whilst our products are of high quality and durable, unfortunately, our products are not chew-proof. We understand it may be disappointing and frustrating when your dog gets their teeth into everything. So here at Stylish Hound, we have designed a Chew Policy to give you a little extra help when and if it does happen. If your dog gets a bit too excited when they see our products, please contact us at hello@stylish-hound.com for a special consideration application of our Chew Policy. We recommend watching our Training videos on our IGTV @stylish.hound. This will reduce and prevent chewing by first ensuring a correct and comfortable fit and building a positive experience with our gear.

No-Pull Harness: What if I find the harness rubs on my dog?
This is an indication of:
a) Fitting may not be correct:
- Please reach out to our customer service with 3 photos of your dog in the harness: Front, Side and Back
- Note to customer service any information regarding fit that may be helpful

b) Additional training required Your dog may need a little extra training to understand and respond to the cues when the harness is correcting. Dogs are so smart, they will pick it up with consistent training and we have some easy and simple training exercises - check out our IGTV or Youtube for training tips. For advanced personalised training assessment, reach out to your local dog trainer.
c) If you have the Padded Buddies, attach them to ensure maximum comfort when training your dog with our harness.
Please ensure safety and comfort of your dog when wearing our harness by:
1/ Check fit is correct when your dog is indoor and prior to taking your dog for a walk - carefully. Please take your time. Contact customer service if you need assistance. Our fit videos are on our IGTV and Youtube for your ease of reference.
2/ Train and ease your dog into a front attachment harness. If your dog does not appear to be comfortable straight away, don’t be disheartened. Take your time to positively reinforce your dog when near, touching or wearing the harness (prior to going for a walk). Check our YouTube and IGTV for tips with our dog trainer.
3/ As part of our duty of care for all our customers and their dogs, we are happy to assist to check fit on your dog. Please ensure you contact customer service if you are unsure prior to taking your dog for a walk. This will ensure you qualify for an exchange and we can assist you to identify any potential issues.
4/ Please take your time when you receive your harness and check the fit of the harness on your dog carefully indoors. As we are assisting virtually, please help us by:
- providing 3 clear photos of the harness on your dog: front, side and back.
- describe the issue you are experiencing.
Any issues that arise after an outdoor walk will not qualify for exchange / returns.
5/ It is the owner/customer’s responsibility to ensure that the fit is correct for the safety and wellbeing of your dog. We do not take responsibility if the harness is not fitted correctly and/or causes injury to your dog.

Hercules
1/ What are your Hercules made out of? Is it safe? Yes. Our Hercules is made of 100% natural, non-toxic, food grade and biodegradable rubber. A light vanilla scent has been added to the rubber.
2/ How do I wash my Hercules? Is it dishwasher safe? Use a small tooth brush to brush the outer and inner of your Hercules in between chews and/or play. You can put it in the dishwasher, please ensure the water temperature is not hot as these are made of 100% natural, food grade rubber, they do not withstand extreme heat.
3/ Are your Hercules suitable for power chewers? Yes! Our Hercules is designed for power chewers however though our collection is tougher than tough, top quality and fighting fit, but that doesn't mean that it’s indestructible - always supervise your dog whilst playing with this toy. Inspect the toy after each play and remove if of concern.
SNUFFLE MAT
4/ What are your snuffle mats made out of? 100% soft polar fleece
5/ Are your snuffle mats machine washable? Yes they are! Please use a gentle or delicate machine wash cycle. Lay flat to dry on line
6/ Can I leave my dog with the snuffle mat unsupervised? Fun should always be had alongside human supervision to keep pups safe. Keep the product out of your hound’s reach after playtime has ended. Our collection is tougher than tough, top quality and fighting fit, but that doesn't mean that it is indestructible - play under supervision, inspect after play and remove if of concern.
STYLISH HOUND SUSTAINABILITY: What products from Stylish Hound are made from recycled, biodegradable, and/or sustainable materials?
We currently produce the below products using sustainable materials:
- Harness, chest plate, collar, leash, seat belt, control leash, 6in1 leash using 100% certified post-consumer polyester (plastic) with 100% recycled metal
- Biodegradable and compostable poop bags with recycled paper packaging
- Hercules: all natural, food grade and biodegradable rubber
- All Stylish Hound are sent in biodegradable and compostable packaging
STYLISH HOUND SUSTAINABILITY: Are your parcels sent in biodegradable and compostable satchels?
We are really excited to announce that we will be using 100% biodegradable and home compostable parcel satchel by late 2020. We will also be using recycled paper packaging on as many of the products as possible.
PLEASE DO NOT STORE YOUR STYLISH HOUND PRODUCTS IN OUR SATCHEL / BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING.
Please discard your packaging appropriately upon unpacking. Your packaging may biodegrade on your products! Stylish Hound does not take any responsibility.

We have been developing a strap that is durable, strong, weather resistant using 100% certified Post-Consumer plastics for over 8 months. This is a step towards our brand to be able to offer all our Stylish Hounds a carefully considered option to look after our Mother Earth. RETURNS: What is your Returns and Exchanges policy?
Each of our Stylish Hound products is created and packaged with great care and attention to detail.
If your item is damaged upon arrival or you have received the wrong item, make sure you contact us within 5 days of receiving the product to discuss options. All faulty items will be replaced by Stylish Hound.
We are happy to accept exchanges due to sizing issues, provided that the product has not been worn (tried on in house is ok- NOT outside), no scuffs, no marks and is in brand new resellable condition. This is due to the fact that we cannot resell worn items or have other customers or yourself receive a worn item. We recommend you try on the gear so Out of the packaging/tags cut off is OK. Please email within 10 days of receiving the product. As part of our duty of care for all our customers and their dogs, we are happy to assist to check fit on your dog. Please ensure you qualify for an exchange, and we can assist you to identify any potential issues. As we are assisting virtually, please help us by.
- Providing 3 clear photos of the harness on your dog: front, side and back.

We are unable to offer refunds or store credit for certain items/cases.
For hygiene reasons, we cannot offer exchanges/refunds for:
- Items we receive and deem to be dirty. This is due to the fact that we cannot resell worn items or have other customers or yourself receive a worn item.
- Used Lick mats, lick bowls, tough chews, tug toys, snuffle mats, collapsible water bowls and
water bottles. This is because they have come into contact with unknown food/water
products as well as doggy dribble, which would not be hygienic for us to re-sell, or have
other customers or yourself receive a dirty item. - Swim jackets, dog robes, dog raincoats, human raincoats that have been used in the water/ rain. This is because they are dirty and may not be hygienic, and we cannot resell dirty or unhygienic items or have other customers or yourself receive a dirty item.
For customised reasons, we cannot offer exchanges/refunds for:
- Custome name patches. This is because we are unlikely to be able to re-sell custom name patches. If you are looking to re-purchase a custom harness due to a sizing change, please email us to discuss if it is possible to re-use your custom name patches for your next order.
We are happy to exchange and/or provide store credit (once returns qualify per condition for change of mind or if you are unhappy with the product).

For returns, please submit using our Returns Portal to make this easier for you and us.
GENERAL CANCELLATION / REFUNDS DETAILS
We are so sorry to see that we cannot find something suitable for you and your hound. We hope to see you again one day... If you would like to cancel your order after your order has been placed due to change of mind, this must be communicated to us before your item is dispatched from our warehouse and/or when we see your email. Please note that we cannot cancel your order due to a change of mind once this order has been dispatched from our warehouse.
Any refund will minus 15% fee from our Third-Party gateways when paying with our Online Platforms/PayPal/Credit Cards (we do not receive the amount you pay at checkout). Any Third-party payment options deduct a % (this is not charged by us). If you received free shipping and wish to request a refund, shipping of $10 (domestic) and $30 (international) will be deducted on your refund. This is charged to us by Australia Post and DHL. For these reasons above, as a brand we choose to offer store credit over refunds to assist our customers.
Please note: The above fees are not charged by us but by third party payment gateways and courier services. Thank you in advance for understanding.
RETURNS: How do I use the Return Portal?
1/ Go to Returns here.
2/ Enter your email address and order number
3/ Select the products you want to return and its quantity
4/ Select the reason of return
5/ Select the return method
6/ Add special notes and RETURN PARCEL TRACKING NUMBER in the notes field
7/ Click Submit
8/ Please ensure in your return parcel that you clearly mark:
- Your FULL NAME
- Email of order
- Include your return form So we can identify who the return parcel belong to for processing. Once you have submitted using our returns portal, all updates will appear be updated and you can check status via the portal
Where do I send my item back for returns and exchanges? To exchange please send us back your current product and we will create a store credit once checking the condition. Returns are processed every Wednesday (though we try our best to process asap). Please allow 10-12 business days to allow for peak periods and/or during Covid restrictions.

RETURNS: My item was damaged/ broken/faulty upon arrival, what do I do?
Safety and quality is our first priority at Stylish Hound. We inspect all items prior to sending it to your furry bestie. If we have missed anything or it was damaged during transit, we are so very sorry. Please send us an email at hello@stylish-hound.com with your order details and images and we will be sure to get a replacement to you asap. Ensure you inspect the item prior to use. Unfortunately sometimes our parcels get damaged during transit process. Damaged items may look like the below:
RETURNS: What if a product is showing out of stock online - can I go on a waiting list?
Yes! If a product is showing our of stock an option will appear where you can enter your email address and be notified once the item comes back in stock. Please see below image.
SHIPPING: What are your shipping rates & times?
All orders are dispatched within 2-4 business days from Sydney, Australia. If you have selected the Express Post, your order will still be packed within 2-4 business days. The courier service will provide the express service on your order.
We use Australia Post and other Local Couriers for domestic delivery (within Australia)
We use DHL and Australia Post alongside your National Postal Service for international delivery.
All orders will be sent with tracking. All delivery timeframes are estimated by our couriers. Please note, Stylish Hound is not responsible for any international customs fees that may occur. Please note, Stylish Hound is not responsible for any items that may be held within customs. If your order is held in customs, it is the responsibility of the buyer/customer to contact their local customs and organise for their order to clear customs.
